A series of micro-narratives, drawing, collage and investopedia definitions
trade is a collection of micro-narratives narrating stories of failed attempts to find love in the time of dating apps. They are accompanied by drawings, digital collages, and investopedia definitions of metaphors used by financial market traders to describe investors and investment strategies, often in derogatory terms. The work considers the migration of language and behaviour from market-based systems to personal relationships, replacing the desire to feel valued with a sense of being consumable.
This work was first presented online to coincide with Black Friday.
